Have you been noticing problems on your pay stub?

UFCW Local 401 Union Organizers have been reaching out to new Securitas employees and giving them information about their Union. In doing so, we have heard many guards express concerns regarding their pay cheques and payroll errors that occur frequently. Some guards say that it is difficult to get the errors fixed and that it sometimes takes several weeks before they receive the missing pay on their cheques.

If you feel there has been an error on your pay cheque of any kind, please take the following steps to ensure that your hard earned wages are making it into your pocket:

  • Every guard should document their hours for their records and compare the records to the amount on the pay stubs you are provided;

  • If the information on your pay stub reveals that you are not receiving the correct rate, hours, or total amount of pay – immediately inform your supervisor or the person assigned to deal with payroll and ask that they adjust your pay accordingly;

  • If the issue remains unresolved, make sure to keep a copy of your pay stub and write down what hours are missing at what pay along with the dates;

  • Contact your Union Representative Nathalie F. Doerth for assistance.

If you work in Fort McMurray, UFCW Local 401 represents you and we are happy to work with you to correct payroll errors or any other issues with which you may need assistance.
